According to Sport, Arsenal has offered Barcelona a bid in the region of €42 million for Raphinha, a player who Mikel Arteta's team had been closely monitoring for months ever since his emergence in the Premier League.

Arsenal's interest in Raphinha

Before joining Barcelona, Raphinha spent two years at Leeds United, where he recorded 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 appearances for the Premier League team.

He has also represented Brazil at international level, scoring three goals in nine appearances for the Selecao.

Barcelona's stance on Raphinha

Raphinha joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 for a fee of around €58 million, but has struggled to secure a regular starting spot in Xavi's team.

The Brazilian has made just 14 starts in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing four assists.

Barcelona is reportedly open to selling Raphinha this summer, but they are believed to want a fee of around €60 million for the player.

Will Raphinha join Arsenal?

Given the circumstances, it remains to be seen if Arsenal will be willing to meet Barcelona's demands for Raphinha.
