'Wide Receiver U' Ready to Debut in Atlanta
The highly anticipated Wide Receiver University (WRU) is set to make its debut in Atlanta, Georgia on July 25, 2023.
WRU is a first-of-its-kind football training program that will provide elite wide receivers with the opportunity to train with some of the best coaches and trainers in the world.
The program was founded by former NFL wide receiver and Super Bowl champion, Torrey Smith. Smith is joined by a team of experienced coaches, including David Robinson, who has over 20 years of experience coaching wide receivers at the collegiate and professional levels.
WRU is designed to provide wide receivers with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at the highest level. The program will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Route running
- Catching
- Blocking
- Speed and agility training
- Mental training
WRU will also provide wide receivers with the opportunity to compete against some of the best players in the country. The program will feature a series of scrimmages and tournaments that will allow players to showcase their skills and get feedback from top coaches.
Smith believes that WRU will help wide receivers reach their full potential. "I want to help these guys become the best wide receivers they can be," Smith said. "I want to give them the tools and resources they need to succeed at the highest level."
